Winter 2022 pricing

What a busy few weeks here at Backwell Logs! As anticipated, we've experienced an upsurge in demand for winter fuel, as people look to subsidise their heating with wood fuel over the coming months. Cost prices have increased significantly due to a spike in raw materials, which has affected us as we supplement our own stock to ensure a steady supply for our customers. Combined with overall rising costs, this means we've found it necessary to increase our product prices - although we strive to remain competitive, in recognition of our loyal customer base! Closure for the Queen's funeral

FIREWOOD FACTS - We hope this factsheet will be useful for you when choosing your firewood. Here at Backwell Logs we are certified by Woodsure Ltd, which is the DEFRA-appointed certification body to administer the ‘Ready to Burn’ scheme, as recognised in The Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuel Standards England) Regulations 2020. What type of logs do Backwell Logs supply?

We are often asked what the difference is between the various types of logs we supply. Well, there are many differences, such as wood type, size of log and quality. We offer Ash, Oak and Birch but increasingly we find that we can offer variants such as Hornbeam and Yew. Ash always burns well and is the most popular of firewood, but Oak is gaining in popularity especially for Pizza Ovens. Many feel Birch offers better value for money.
