Warehouse and Delivery Assistant 

Salary:  £13,800 - £15,600 Per annum depending on experience (Based on a 3 day week)

Basic hours:  3 Days a Week      Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am - 5pm 

5 Days a week in December is essential

Hours subject to change, with additional hours when needed and in busy periods (Sept - March)

Backwell Logs, part of Backwell Wood Estate, is a leading supplier for firewood in the greater Bristol area. Our 200 acres of woodland produces firewood sold to the general public. Our small team are looking for help with the warehouse and delivery aspect of the business. 

About the Role

We are looking for a part time warehouse and delivery assistant for our log selling business. This will include driving our electric van and lorry on delivery routes.

The person for this job will need to like the outdoors, be fit and active and be ready for moving and lifting logs and log bags. Pervious use of farm machinery would be a bonus but some on site training can be given. 

There is scope for more hours depending demand throughout the year, especially in our busy times over the winter.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Packing bags of logs 

Preparing for deliveries

Assisting in deliveries to our customers, giving a friendly and helpful service

Being an advocate for the business and its ethos

Required Skills and Qualifications 

   Full UK driving license essential

    Physically strong and fit

    Good communication skills

Hardworking and determined

Good people skills, customer service
